Stinky marker
Food marketing definitely has its toxic moments. In a recent meeting with a favorite client, Pat and I got locked in a meeting with a flip chart and one of those really STINKY markers. Stinky like burnt collards on Mars. Like the inside of a Durian x 1000. The kind of stench that invade your body at the cellular level so you can feel the lymphoma setting in. As I sat in the marker fog and tried to pay attention, my mind wandered from olfactory assault to oral toxicity. I wondered about stinky food (like collards on earth), and who was the guy who found out that that particular mushroom would kill you instantly. My brother (a true naturalist) is something of a guru to the people on our hikes. “Is this edible Craig?†or, “Hey, can you eat the fruit of this?†are typical questions. His reply is always the same... “Once.â€
